Spanning 8,000 miles and 33 years of spacetime from Bangkok to New York
to Vancouver, MONTRE ECHO is a new genre-bending collaboration between
electronica sorceress Mary Ancheta and jazz pianist Geoffrey Keezer.
Shapeshifting and merging elements as diverse as a 5-year-old Keezer
gleefully noodling on an Arp synthesizer, Ancheta's vast palette of
unusual beats and found sounds, Keezer's bass driving a late 90's
downtown alt-rock band and artifacts from his latest recording "Aurea",
MONTRE ECHO grabs your ears and levitates above the mundane and noisy
hordes of mash-ups and remixes.
"MONTRE ECHO may well be the 'missing link' electronica fans have been
secretly craving... they boldly go where even Squarepusher and Sigur
Ros fear to tread." - Graham W. Hall, AllAboutJazz.com
